What is measurement ID of GA4 and how to get this

Lets start from the basic question...
What is Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?
Google Analytics 4 a.k.a GA4 is an updated and improved version of google analytics. Prior to GA4, Google launched Universal Analytics in 2012 and made improvements till 2014.
Let’s see the changes made in Google Analytics over time:

What is a Measurement ID in GA4?
Measurement ID represents a data stream. It is a unique id that permits GA4 to collect data from a website after being inserted into the tracking code on your website.
If you are familiar with Universal Analytics (UA), a measurement ID is similar to a UA tracking ID.
The format of measurement ID is G-XXXXXXX.
How to get this GA4 ID?
Step 1:
Sign in with a Google Analytics account
Step 2:
Go to GA4 Property > Click on the ‘Admin’ button at the bottom-left corner.

Step 3:
Click on ‘Data Streams’ in the right navigation panel.

Step 4:
Click on the '>' icon

Step 5:
Copy the Measurement ID

If you are using Google Tag Manager (GTM) for website tracking setup then you require a measurement Id to create a GA4 event tag. And before creating a GA4 event tag, you need to create a configuration tag. Then this measurement ID is inserted into the configuration tag.
Sounds a bit confusing… Isn’t it?
However, you can automate this process with Tagmate. Tagmate automatically creates a configuration tag and sets it up with a GA4 event tag.
